From experience, a left or right bulb fault code is often part of a low voltage from the battery failure. Sometimes the bulbs are fine and the battery is low. If you made short trips, don’t charge the battery, worked on the car with the hood and doors open, this could be your issue. To replace the battery, remove the valet key and insert it into the rectangular notch on the top of the fob. This is only visible once you remove the valet key. Once it's inserted in the notch, it only goes in about a 1/4", use that as leverage to pry apart the fob. Take the battery to your favorite Walgreens, Rite Aid, Batteries+ and buy 2 of

Total cost €600,- they say its the roof battery, so they have to take the whole roof liner out. Car is 3 years old en one month out of warranty. They are going to give bmw a call to see if some warranty will cover this. If the results of steps 1 and 2 allow, replace the battery together with performing the engine oil service. Important note: Do not perform an energy diagnosis for this battery replacement. Refer to ISTA Repair Instruction 61 21 010, "Remove and install or replace battery." Register the new battery using ISTA. We were led to believe that the head gasket is good since the initial compression test was ok.
