At 146K miles my bmw 528i e39 finally had transmission service. There was no leak around the pan before the service. So 2.5K miles driven after the service, the rear side of the pan is now leaking oil. The mechanic applied sealant with the cork gasket. My mechanic will redo the job but I will spend for labor and gasket again.
